Threat of Wildfires

Wildfire fuel reduction

Wildfires pose a significant threat to our communities and landscapes which are often exacerbated by overgrown vegetation. At Pathfinder DRX we have developed and perfected our unique and effective strategies for sustainable land management, which is the key to wildfire reduction. We understand the importance of reducing overgrown vegetation and we can effectively mitigate the risk of wildfires and how to protect your homes and community by properly teaching, practicing, and enforcing:

We focus on reducing overgrown vegetation and creating effective fuel reduction strategies which are paramount in sustainable land management to mitigate the risk of wildfires.

protecting every part of your home

Fire lines are a proven method for creating defensible spaces and removing potential fuel sources, such as dead trees and dry brush, we significantly decrease the likelihood of wildfires spreading to businesses and homeowners by burning, thinning, pruning, chipping, and mechanically removing fuels to reduce the amount and continuity of burnable vegetation. We provide teams of trained and certified professionals that arrive at your location and begin assessing and mapping out hazardous and potential areas where wildfires can start. By identifying these areas, we can reduce the possibility for wildfires starting and spreading immensely.
Fire lines are typically approximately 10 feet wide or less by removing vegetation down to bare soil. Fire breaks are a strip of land generally 20-30 feet wide where vegetation has also been removed down to bare soil.
Wildfires spread most rapidly from small embers being lofted into the air by hot smoke or transported by strong winds.
They may ignite, but they won't contribute to the spread or intensity of the fire.
Wildfires can occur naturally — ignited by heat from the sun or a lightning strike. But the vast majority of wildfires are caused by humans.
